CHLOE
3 year old pit mix
This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home! Chloe is a 63lb mix with a heart as big as her paws. She was picked up as a stray in rough shape, battling a bad skin and ear infection. But thanks to plenty of meds, TLC, and a little time, she’s on the mend! Chloe will go home with any necessary medications and scheduled check-ups if needed—so don’t fret, we’ve got her covered!
It looks like Chloe was used for breeding before being discarded, but despite her past, she’s nothing but love. She’s a gentle soul with the sweetest, saddest puppy dog eyes — until you bring out the toys! Chloe loves toys and will happily collect every tennis ball she can find to bring back to her kennel. She also a fan of the big squeaky toys.
She’s a champion snuggler and you can usually find her curled up as small as she can be in her bed. Even when she’s snoozing, she’s always excited to get up for playtime and to spend time with her humans! Chloe walks well on a leash and would thrive with confident owners who can help her continue building trust. She may be a little nervous at first, but it only takes a second for her to realize you’re safe—then she’s all cuddles!
Chloe does well with other dogs but we would only recommend her living with male dogs. We’re not sure about cats yet, but we’re happy to test if needed. Chloe would do best with older or teen aged children due to her size.
If you’re ready to turn Chloe’s sad puppy dog eyes into a big, happy bully smile, give our office a call to schedule a meet-and-greet!
MARSHAL
1 year old pit mix
In foster care
Marshal has had a bit of a rough start. After surviving Parvo as a puppy, he spent months in a foster-based rescue with little interest, waiting for his chance to shine. But now that he’s with us, he’s showing us just how much love and potential he has to offer.
While he’s a little nervous around new people and unfamiliar places at first, once he gets to know you, he’s the biggest cuddle bug. Marshal is a gentle soul who just wants companionship, but he’ll need someone patient to help him build his confidence and feel secure in new situations. With the right support, we know he’ll blossom into the amazing, affectionate dog he was meant to be.
Marshal thrives when he has the company of other dogs, and we believe he would do best in a home with at least one other dog to help him feel safe and comfortable. His confidence soars when he knows he has a canine buddy by his side, and he’s also been great with cats who are used to dogs.
Given his sweet, sensitive nature, Marshal would do best in a home with teen-aged children, where he can feel more at ease. While he’s been around younger kids in the past, the unpredictability and noise of small children might make him feel a bit uneasy, so a calm, predictable environment would be ideal.
Marshal has one big wish: he hates being in a kennel. He just wants to be with his people or other pups, and it breaks our hearts to see him sad and alone. But with the right family, we know he’ll leave kennel life behind and finally experience the love and stability he’s been craving.
PACO
1 year old bully mix
Paco was originally picked up by animal control after a skunky situation —yep, he got sprayed! While he’s had his fair share of baths, this handsome boy is slowly regaining his dignity and learning to trust the world again.
Adventure Buddy in the Making – Paco has already explored the creek and is working on building his confidence. He’s learning leash skills and getting better at following his human’s lead, knowing we’ll keep him safe.
Foodie Alert! – Paco is super treat-motivated, making training fun and rewarding! He’s currently working on perfecting his "sit" and would thrive with positive reinforcement training.
Playful & Strong – This big, lovable guy still has some puppy energy and is learning his manners. He loves playtime and would do best in a home with teens or adults due to his size and enthusiasm.
Dog-Friendly! – Paco enjoys the company of most other dogs, especially the ladies! He’s still being evaluated around cats, so for now, a cat-free home is best.
After a rough start in life and ending up in a shelter, Paco is just looking for a family to love and trust. He adores human attention and simply wants time out of his kennel to be with people.
TURNER
1 year old bully mix
Introducing Turner! This 1 year old, 67lb (and still growing!) bully mix is as sweet as they come. With his big goofy grin and even bigger heart, Turner is ready to find a family to love forever!
Why You’ll Love Turner:
Well-mannered & eager to please – He already knows “sit” and walks great on a leash! (For now, at least! )
Certified cuddle bug – This wiggly love machine would be a lapdog if you let him!
Toy enthusiast – His #1 passion in life? Squeaky toys! He loves tossing them around and keeping himself entertained.
Dog-friendly – He has lived with other dogs and loves canine companionship!
A total sweetheart – He’s all about sharing his love (and maybe a few slobbery kisses)!
Not cat-tested yet, but with slow introductions, we think he’ll do just fine.
Best suited for a home with older kids due to his size and enthusiastic nature.
Turner is truly a one-of-a-kind pup—goofy, affectionate, and ready to bring so much joy to his forever home. Come meet this handsome boy and let him steal your heart.
TEDDY
4 month old shepherd mix
Meet LJ & Teddy!
These 16-week-old Shepherd mix brothers are ready to find their forever homes! These sweet, playful pups take a little time to come out of their shells, but with love and patience, they’ll blossom into the perfect companions we know they’re meant to be.
LJ and Teddy require another young, playful pup in their home to help them build confidence and ensure they continue learning proper socialization. Puppies thrive when they have dog siblings to teach them the ropes—helping them develop better manners, learn appropriate play, and feel more secure in their new environment. Having a canine friend will be key to their success!
These adorable boys should be around 50 pounds when fully grown. Teddy is a sturdy little guy, while LJ is still catching up in size. Both have the most heart-melting eyes and expressive ears! They do not need to be adopted together.
Good with cats (with proper introductions)
Great with kids 13+ (would do best without loud, unpredictable little ones)
Full of love & ready for their perfect family!

ANDRE
5 year old male
Andre is a large, handsome five-year-old boy with the presence of a majestic lion... and the social skills of an awkward intern on his first day. He *wants* to be a good, loving boy, but the whole "being a proper cat" thing is a little overwhelming for him.
Found as a stray, Andre is still adjusting to the finer things in life—like head scratches (which he enjoys on his terms), treats (which he loves), and cozy cat cubes (which are his personal safe space). He’s also a big fan of wand toys, probably because they allow for social distancing.
Shelter life has been a challenge, especially being around other cats. Andre would much rather be the only feline in the house, where he can be the center of attention without the stress of pesky roommates. He enjoys his independent time and won’t mind if you’re out for the day—he’ll just be waiting for you to come home and (politely) deliver his head scritches.
If you’re looking for a cat who’s a little rough around the edges but genuinely trying his best, Andre is your guy. He may not always get it right, but he’s got a big heart, and in the right home, he’s sure to shine. Give this sweet, socially confused boy the chance he deserves!
DESTINY
5 year old female
Destiny is a calm, docile, and affectionate 5-year-old girl who's ready to find her forever family!
She was recently surrendered due to some life changes that were causing her anxiety, but with patience and love, she will blossom into a loyal companion. Destiny is a super sweet girl who thrives in a calm, quiet environment. She’s affectionate once she’s comfortable, and she loves to bond with her humans, offering all the snuggles and love in return!
She’s lived with dogs and gets along well with other cats, so she could be a great addition to a multi-pet household. However, she would do best in a home with no small children, as they were a source of stress in her previous situation.
Destiny is searching for a peaceful, stress-free home where she can relax and feel safe. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who will appreciate all the love and care you have to offer, Destiny may be the perfect match!
HARMONY
5 year old female
Melody and Harmony have been waiting. And waiting. And waiting.
This mother and daughter have watched so many other cats leave for their forever homes, but for some reason, they are still here. Still waiting. Still hoping. They don’t understand why no one has chosen them.
Melody, the devoted mother, is six years old and has always cared for her daughter, Harmony, who is now five. But shelter life is wearing on them—especially Harmony, who has started overgrooming, a heartbreaking sign of stress. All she wants is love and reassurance. She craves affection so much that she will literally jump onto your shoulders just to be as close to you as possible. Melody, on the other hand, is an absolute lap cat. After a good play session with her beloved catnip toys, she will crawl right into your lap and settle in, as if she’s reminding you that she belongs there.
Both Melody and Harmony are FIV positive, but that is nothing to worry about. With proper introductions, they can safely live with other cats, and in fact, they have lived with a total of six cats in their past home. They are affectionate, gentle, and loving—just two sweet souls longing for a home where they can finally feel safe again.
They have spent too long behind these walls, too many nights wondering when it will be their turn.
Please, don’t let them keep waiting. Melody and Harmony need someone to finally say, *“You are coming home.”*
LAILA ALI
2 year old female
*On a temporary hold. This will be updated when she is available.
Laila Ali didn’t get her name by accident—this girl is a survivor. Found as a stray, she had been fending for herself for who knows how long, enduring the harsh reality of street life and the dangers that come with it. When someone finally tried to help, she was left outside in a box, waiting to be found.
Let’s be clear: shelters and rescues are at max capacity. Leaving animals outside, no matter the circumstance, is never okay. They deserve safety, care, and a proper path to a better life.
Now in our care, Laila is working hard to adjust to her new world. She enjoys being petted but is still unsure about everything happening around her. Sometimes, she gets overwhelmed and lets us know she needs space—who can blame her after all she’s been through? She also doesn’t seem to be a fan of other cats, which makes sense for a girl who’s spent her life surviving on her own.
But beneath her wary exterior is a cat who is learning to love home life. She’s already shown how much she adores cozy beds and regular meals—luxuries she never had before. What Laila needs now is a patient, understanding adopter who will give her time to trust, space to decompress, and the love she’s always deserved.
If you’re ready to give this resilient, strong-willed girl a home where she can finally relax and be safe, Laila Ali is waiting for you.
LAFAYE
10.5 year old female
Do you have a soft spot for senior kitties? Lafaye might just be the girl for you.
Lafaye’s world has been turned upside down. At 10 ½ years old, this sweet, shy girl suddenly found herself without the person who had loved her since she was a kitten. Her owner’s passing was unexpected, and while their family cared deeply, they knew their home wasn’t the right fit for Lafaye’s gentle nature. Now, she waits—quietly, patiently—hoping for a second chance.
Lafaye is the kind of cat who thrives in a calm, peaceful home. She may seem like she shies away from affection at first, but once you start petting her, she lets out the softest, sweetest purrs and even does the adorable kitty butt raise to show her happiness. She’s comfortable around other cats as long as they share her laid-back, quiet energy. More than anything, she just needs a loving human to bond with, someone who will help her feel safe and cherished once more.
We can’t imagine how lost Lafaye must feel after such a heartbreaking change. She deserves a home where she can settle in, be adored, and spend her golden years in comfort. If you have a soft spot for senior cats and a quiet home where Lafaye can heal, please consider giving this gentle soul the fresh start she so desperately needs.

Most kittens are in foster homes. All pets require an appointment to meet them, but especially kittens, as meet and greets depend on foster availability. To schedule a meet and greet please call 412-672-8901.
Generally, kittens do best with other pets in the home, especially another cat friend. Nearly all WOASH adoptable kittens require another cat in the home or to be adopted as a pair. We typically do not allow kittens do be adopted as the singular pet in the household, unless they require otherwise.

PEEP
4 year old male
Meet Peep – The Window Watcher Turned Lap Lover! Peep’s journey to indoor life started in the most fitting way—by peeping into the windows of our Cat Coordinator’s home, watching her feed her own cats as if dreaming of being part of the family. But life hadn’t been kind to Peep; he had a substantial wound on his face, so we immediately trapped him and got him the care he desperately needed. Now, his wound is healing beautifully, and he’s learning what it means to be safe, loved, and warm.
Peep is FIV positive, but don’t let that scare you! He’s great with other cats and, after some initial hissing and adjustments, settles in well—especially when he has a trusted human to give him confidence. He’d be happy in a home with other calm and respectful cats, whether they have FIV or not, or as the only feline in the household.
At first, Peep can be shy, so he needs an adopter experienced with giving nervous kitties time to adjust. But once he trusts you? He becomes the ultimate lap cat. We’re talking full-on biscuit-making, velcro-kitty energy. He will settle into your lap so completely that you’ll feel terrible having to get up—even for just a bathroom break! Peep needs a human dedicated to starting the acclimation process in a room with minimal hiding places, as he will squeeze himself into even the most obscure hiding spots when scared.
Peep is still getting used to indoor life and hasn’t shown much interest in toys or treats yet, but with patience, that will come. What he does know is that he never wants to be outside again. He longed for a home, and now he’s looking for the right person to give him one—a safe, loving, and patient home that will keep him secure, just like he always wanted when he was watching from the outside.
PRINCE
3 month old male
Looking for a royal companion? Meet Prince—the sweetest, playful kitten who’s ready to charm you with his big personality and love for adventure!
Prince may take a little time to trust you, but once he does, he’s all about the snuggles and attention! He’s a bit of a ham and loves to be petted once he knows you’re his person.
When he’s not cuddling up, you can find Prince running, chasing, pouncing, and playing like the energetic kitten he is! His playful antics will keep you smiling all day long.
Prince absolutely adores other cats and would do best in a home with another feline friend to keep him company and play with him. He was found as a stray with his two sisters, Poppy and Pandora.
If you're looking for a sweet, fun, and loving companion, Prince might just be your perfect match! He’s ready to find his forever home where he can be spoiled, play to his heart’s content, and form a bond that’ll last a lifetime.
We have a few kitties who need a cat-savvy foster family, or foster-to-adopt home, to work with them on socialization. These cats are not feral, but they are fearful and defensive. We know they have it in them to be loving companions given the right circumstances and a patient person. Please consider serving as a socialization foster or a foster-to-adopt family for Oreo, Dorito, or Dr. Seuss. Dorito is pictured.
We are always in need of reliable foster homes for kittens up to 6 months old, moms cats with nursing kittens, and neonatal kittens. Our greatest need is fosters willing to take on a mom and nursing kittens!
WOASH can provide food, litter, and other supplies while foster families provide the love and care. Once kittens are of appropriate age and vet care, they begin seeking their forever homes through the WOASH adoption process.
Call to inquire about becoming a kitten foster home.
*The pictured kittens have been adopted and are not in need of a foster home.*
Found kittens or a mom with nursing kittens? Offer to one time foster! By offering to foster the kittens through our shelter, we can provide supplies and care, you just provide the space, love, and care!
