2 year old pit mix
"I am a friendly girl once I warm up to you. I really love other doggos. I am new to the shelter setting and the humans are still getting to know me."
2 year old terrier mix
"Howie? More like Ham-ie! I am such a ham and love to run and play. I easily make new human friends. I appear to get along with other dogs, but a meet and greet is required to be certain. I waited at animal control for 8 months and I was finally given the chance with a shelter to find my forever home. I love to have zoomies in the play yard."
3 year old pit mix
"My owner was giving me away to anyone in the street who wanted me. I had a bad skin infection. A kind woman took me home and found me a safe place to go and get treatment. I take some time to warm up to new people, but I can easily be won over with treats. I would prefer a calm home with no children to help me build my confidence. Once I know you, I am silly and playful!"
1 year old husky mix
"I was a stray girl found in Shadyside (get the name?), but the humans believe there was more to my story. I am a very smart girl who loves to play. As a husky mix, I would be happiest with owners that would keep me busy with training, enrichment, and tasks to do. I need to improve my manners before being with small children. I am accepting of some large, male dogs, but not all. A meet and greet is required to be certain."
5 year old male
"I am a handsome fluff of a man. I love to be petted and get along great with other cats. I am an independent guy that enjoys your attention, but am comfortable entertaining myself while you're away. I really like catnip and treats!"
6 year old male
Bonded with Donkey Kong
"I love catnip toys, my brother, and being petted by people! I am a simple kitty who doesn't ask for much, other than a home with my brother. The humans here love me, but I am ready to be back in a home."
6 year old male
Bonded with Diddy Kong
"My brother is my favorite friend, and I love rubbing up on human legs. I need a family who will brush me regularly. People tend to want me because of my fluffy fur, but I won't leave without my brother!"
1 year old female
"I am a quiet and chill girl... except for when the catnip comes out, then I love to play. Cardboard scratch pads are another favorite of mine. I also gobble up cans of wet food. I enjoy giving people head bumps. I am not the first kitty to come out and say hello to visitors, but that doesn't mean I don't want a home!"
6 year old male
"I am a sweet and handsome guy, but I know I will be overlooked. Purring and chirping is my specialty. I love to be petted and even held! I want a family so badly, but I need a special family willing to commit to my needs. Please talk to the staff for more info!"
1 year old female
"I am a very timid girl. I need a patient, adult only home to help me come out of my shell. I like other cats and I will not bother you."
3 year old female
"My owner was going to euthanize me for having fleas. The kind humans here saved my life! I am flea-free now. I ADORE human affection and enjoy napping in a basket. Just don't pick me up! I hate when people do that."
8 year old female
"Long naps in my cat cube are my favorite thing. I am a docile, affectionate, and quiet girl. I have shown interest in toys and exploring the cat room. I really like other kitties and would love to have other cats in my home!"
4 year old male
"I am new to the shelter setting and the humans are still getting to know me. I was a TNR kitty and my caretaker spent a lot of time helping me become social with people. My caretaker said I would do great with other cats, a family that will play with me a lot, and maybe even dogs!
6 year old female
"I am new to the shelter setting and still adjusting. I am a quiet girl that needs a calm home. I really like other kitties!"
10 year old female
"I am a sweet senior girl from a barn home. I love attention and being petted. I am being groomed, as I am very matted. I can't wait to meet people once I am feeling fresh and clean!"
2 year old male
"I am a curious guy that loves to play. The humans think I was previously abused and I am still learning that human hands can be safe. I can get overstimulated quickly, so I need a patient family willing to work with me while I learn to trust. Kids are a hard no for me, and I don't seem to care for other cats."
1 year old male
"I am a shy guy who prefers my independence and space. I enjoy laying in cat towers. I get along great with other cats. I need a patient adult family to give me time to come around."
12 year old male
"My owner passed away and I am very sad about that. I really want a new home to be my retirement home. I am a talkative guy who loves to give head bumps and purr."

1 year old female
Vera is partially blind and deaf. She is comfortable with calm pets or being the only pet in the home. She would be best in a home without children. Vera requires a home with consistency, where she can learn the routines and her environment is not regularly changing. Despite her condition, she is a sweet girl who loves to play and snuggle.
6 year old male hound mix

Velma is a blind senior who was found as a stray. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. Velma is on eye drops 3 times a day to manage her eye pressure. Despite being blind, she loves to go for walks and explore outside.
EMMA & JEAN
2 year old females
"We came in after escaping terrible neglect. It took some time for us to come out of our shells and learn to trust humans again. We love napping together, eating treats, and laying on the back of the couch to watch the birds out the window."
Jean is very affectionate and loves to be petted. She has the fluffiest fur.
Emma is always a few steps behind Jean as far as socialization goes, but she is a calm, quiet, and sweet girl.
We are always in need of reliable foster homes for kittens up to 4 months old, moms cats with nursing kittens, and neonatal kittens. Our greatest need is fosters willing to take on a mom and nursing kittens!
WOASH can provide food, litter, and other supplies while foster families provide the love and care! Once kittens are of appropriate age and vet care, they begin seeking their forever homes through the WOASH adoption process.
Call to inquire about becoming a kitten foster home.
*The pictured kittens have been adopted and are not in need of a foster home.*
