 VADER
Age: 2 years
Ideal Home: A calm, quiet foster-to-adopt home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and continue receiving supportive care

Background:
Vader came to WOASH after his previous family made the difficult decision to surrender him due to behavioral concerns in the home. It’s important to note that these behaviors were not aggressive in nature. Since arriving in our care, we have not observed the concerns previously described, and our staff will gladly discuss his history and needs in more detail with potential adopters to help ensure the best fit.

Unfortunately, Vader is front declawed, and while we cannot say for certain, we strongly suspect the procedure may not have healed comfortably for him. He walks with an abnormal gait, often appearing to avoid putting pressure on parts of his paws, and he seems most comfortable when resting or lounging.

Personality:

  • Incredibly sweet, soft, and snuggly
  • Loves being petted and spending time with his people
  • Enjoys cozy beds and comfortable places to relax
  • Likes playing with his favorite toys

  • More comfortable sitting or laying down for extended periods
  • Seeking a foster-to-adopt placement so we can continue assessing his long-term needs

Vader truly deserves a second chance. Beneath everything he has been through is a loving, gentle boy who simply wants comfort, safety, and someone to care for him the way he deserves. With patience, understanding, and a soft place to land, Vader has so much love left to give.

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate cat who will happily keep you company and remind you to break out the catnip every now and then, Wynter is ready to fill your home with love.

Adoptable Cats & Kittens in Foster Care

Most kittens are in foster homes. All pets require an appointment to meet them, but especially kittens, as meet and greets depend on foster availability. To schedule a meet and greet please call 412-672-8901.

Generally, kittens do best with other pets in the home, especially another cat friend. Nearly all WOASH adoptable kittens require another cat in the home or to be adopted as a pair. We typically do not allow kittens do be adopted as the singular pet in the household, unless they require otherwise.

Background:
Joker came to WOASH with his siblings and parents, Miss Fortune and Tom Foolery, after their previous owner became overwhelmed with more cats than they could responsibly care for. Now fully vetted and ready for adoption, Joker is looking for a forever family who will provide him with the love, stability, and responsible care every kitten deserves.

Personality:

  • Playful, energetic, and adventurous
  • Loves running, climbing, and wrestling with other kittens
  • Enjoys chasing toys and exploring his surroundings
  • Curious about everything
  • Affectionate and enjoys being petted
  • Loves snuggling after a busy day of play
  • Enjoys watching the world from the window

Good With:

  • Other cats (required for kittens his age)
  • Cat-respectful children
  • Likely dogs with proper introductions

Does Not Prefer:

  • Being an only kitten without a feline companion

Joker is full of classic kitten charm, bringing equal parts excitement and affection wherever he goes. Whether he's zooming around the house or curled up beside you after playtime, he's sure to keep his future family smiling.

Foster Families Needed

Cat-Savvy Fosters Needed

We have a few kitties who need a cat-savvy foster family, or foster-to-adopt home, to work with them on socialization. These cats are not feral, but they are not well socialized. We know they have it in them to be loving companions given the right circumstances and a patient person. Please consider serving as a socialization foster or a foster-to-adopt family. The kitties to consider are Ricardo or Midnight!

KITTENS

We are always in need of reliable foster homes for kittens up to 6 months old, moms cats with nursing kittens, and neonatal kittens. Our greatest need is fosters willing to take on a mom and nursing kittens!

WOASH can provide food, litter, and other supplies while foster families provide the love and care. Once kittens are of appropriate age and vet care, they begin seeking their forever homes through the WOASH adoption process.

Call to inquire about becoming a kitten foster home.

*The pictured kittens have been adopted and are not in need of a foster home.*

Found kittens or a mom with nursing kittens? Offer to one time foster! By offering to foster the kittens through our shelter, we can provide supplies and care, you just provide the space, love, and care!
