Meet Wilbur

WILBUR
Age: 1 year
Ideal Home: A calm, loving home where he can feel safe and be given time to adjust

Background:
Wilbur came to WOASH after his previous owner became ill and could no longer care for him. Unfortunately, family members were unable to take him in, so he was surrendered. Since arriving, Wilbur has been adjusting to shelter life at his own pace and is slowly starting to show his sweet personality.

Personality:

  • Gentle, sweet-natured boy
  • A bit shy while adjusting to new environments
  • Often found tucked under a cozy blanket while he observes the world
  • Slowly blossoming and showing his affectionate side
  • Unique and charming one-eyed kitty who doesn’t let anything slow him down

Good With:

  • Cat-respectful children
  • Calm, patient households
  • Likely okay with calm, cat-friendly dogs with proper introductions

Does Not Prefer:

  • Loud, chaotic environments
  • Being rushed while he is still building confidence

Health Info:

  • FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus)
  • FeLV+ cats can live happy, full lives with proper care
  • Must be indoor-only
  • Should be the only cat or live with other FeLV+ cats
  • Not contagious to humans, dogs, or other animals

Wilbur is a special little guy with so much love to give. He may take a little time to feel safe, but once he does, his gentle and loving personality will shine. He’s looking for a kind, patient family who will give him the chance he deserves and in return, he’ll be a truly devoted companion.
