Arrived: 7/11 | Status: Ready to find his forever family!
Slurpee isn’t just handsome—he’s the full package: smart, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. Found as a stray on 7/11 (yes, like the drink he’s named after!), this clever boy has been stealing hearts ever since.
With his striking looks and expressive personality, Slurpee stands out in every way. He’s incredibly intelligent and always thinking one step ahead—curious about everything and constantly exploring his environment. Whether it’s a cozy hiding spot or a shiny object, Slurpee is eager to investigate with that sharp little brain of his.
When he’s feeling comfy, he turns into a lovable goofball—rolling onto his back, flopping around dramatically, and begging for pets. His playtime is pure joy to watch: he leaps, darts, and pounces with acrobatic flair, especially when catnip crayons, flying feathers, or tasty treats are involved. Treat time is a full-on event for him, complete with jumps and zoomies!
While Slurpee used to do well with other cats and respectful dogs, his behavior has shifted since becoming our resident office cat. He’s grown a bit more territorial in the space he now calls his own, and we’ve seen his anxiety and frustration rise around other animals. These days, he’s not always predictable with adult cats or dogs, so we’re recommending that he be the only pet in the home—for now. That said, he adores kittens and would thrive in a home that fosters them. His dream setup? A chill, cat-savvy foster dad (or family) who understands his boundaries and would love to raise kittens alongside him. Fostering with Slurpee would be an added bonus, but is not a requirement! For Slurpee's benefit and to minimize new home anxieties, we recommend that he begin as the only pet in his home.
Because of his high energy and tendency to get overstimulated, Slurpee is best suited to a home with older kids or teens who know how to read cat body language. His enthusiasm sometimes comes out in the form of play biting—nothing mean, just a cat who’s really into the moment. With plenty of interactive play and mental enrichment, he’ll burn off his energy and then be ready to settle in as your loyal companion.
Slurpee is also FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives and coexist safely with others—but again, we think Slurpee would do best as the solo star in his new home, at least to start.
If you’re looking for a clever, charismatic companion with tons of love (and personality) to give, Slurpee is your guy. Are you the one he’s been waiting for?
