We rely on our volunteers! Volunteer applications can be completed online or in person. A current tetanus shot is required. Dog volunteers must be 18+ and cat volunteers must be 16+. Our highest priority at this time is dog volunteers for weekday mornings and Sunday afternoon and evening. We also need cat volunteers for Sunday morning and afternoon. Applications can be submitted via email or paper copies can be obtained at the shelter.

Our fundraising group is always looking for energetic volunteers to participate in various fundraising events and sales. In addition to in-person events, a willingness to sell various items, and solicit donations and sponsorships from businesses are keys to raising funds for the continued success of the shelter. Veterinary Technician: White Oak Animal Safe Haven is seeking a Veterinary Technician to add to our team! This is a part-time position where you would work with our shelter vet on a weekly basis to assist with routine surgeries and veterinary care for our shelter pets and for public clinics. A Vet Tech will regularly communicate and discuss care plans for shelter pets with our Cat and Dog Coordinators.
